I would watch all his lectures / do the readings. It is easy to digest and makes the SmokinNotes even more comprehensive.

Read smokin notes along with all of the text resources for the class. Tabbing your textbook and being familiar with it is very key for the exams because they are open book. The term paper option is also a great way to succeed in this class.

Stay on pace with the scheduled readings of the textbook from the syllabus. I highly recommend Smokin' Notes not only for the notes but also because the practice tests and quizzes really help you get a feel of the information.

The core grades in BUL4310 amount to three exams. To succeed in this class, it is important to use the Smokin Notes study guide as well as the other materials provided such as the practice questions found on canvas.

Smokin' Notes saved my life in this class. Professor Emerson provides his students with plenty of information, but it is sometimes unorganized.

I really enjoyed this class and think I learned a lot. The tests were a bit tricky, but fair. There is also ample opportunity for extra credit if you need it and a very generous grading scale.

Tips that helped me do well in this course: 1. Read through the Smokin' Notes first. 2. Skim LSB and create a detailed table of contents. 3. Find an index of terms with LSB/Barron's/SN page numbers. 4. Do as many practice problems as possible.
