To best succeed in this class you really need to pay attention to lectures and study to be sure you understand the concepts. This course is difficult in that it is not just memorizing and understanding the topics you must know how to apply them.

Overall take practice exams, as you will notice a pattern to his teaching and questioning methods. And, if you can, get Smokin' Notes because Smokin' Notes = more practice exams with questions nearly identical to Mark's.

The best way to succeed in this class would be to watch the lectures, because he provides very understanding analogies, and use smokin' notes because it provides you with all the chapter summaries and quizzes to help assess your understanding.
