Smokin'Notes Scholarship

Smokin'Notes offers scholarship opportunities available to all undergraduate UF students each year.

To Apply
Just write a quick essay highlighting What's your favorite thing are about being a Florida Gator!
Your submission should be no more than 500 words (just a few paragraphs is fine).

Awards

1st place: $1,000
One UF student will receive $750 in cash to use toward tuition/books, plus $250 in Smokin'Notes.
2nd place: $350
One additional UF student will receive $250 in cash to use toward tuition/books, plus $100 in Smokin'Notes.

Award Criteria & Eligibility

  1. All entrants will be evaluated based on the brief essay (under 500 words) described above. Winners will be announced on this page, and on the 'SmokinNotes' Facebook page.
  2. All entrants must be current undergraduate students at the University of Florida (incoming freshmen and transfers included) and have at least 12 credits left to complete after the fall semester. The scholarship selection will NOT be awarded based on academic records of any kind.

Rules

  1. E-Mail your essay to scholarships[AT]SmokinNotes[DOT]com. ONLY e-mails will be accepted.
    • The subject of the e-mail must be "[your first name] [your last name] 2017 scholarship essay" (for example: Joan Smith 2017 scholarship essay).
    • The essay should be no longer than 500 words.
    • The essay may be included in the body of the e-mail OR attached as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF document.
    • Entry must be received on or before October 31st, 2017.
