2011 Topic: What is your favorite thing about college life at UF?
Your submission should be no more than 500 words (just a few paragraphs is fine).

Awards

First Place:
One student will receive $500 in cash to use toward tuition/books.

Second Place:
One additional student will receive $100 cash to use toward tuition/books.

Award Criteria
All entrants will be evaluated based on the brief essay (under 500 words) described above. Winners will be announced on this page, and on the 'SmokinNotes' Facebook page.

Eligibility
All entrants must be current undergraduate students at the University of Florida (incoming freshmen and transfers included) and have at least 12 credits left to complete after the fall semester. The scholarship selection will NOT be awarded based on academic records of any kind.

Rules
1. E-Mail your essay to scholarships@SmokinNotes.com  
    ONLY e-mails will be accepted.
  1. The subject of the e-mail must be "[your first name] [your last name] 2012 scholarship essay" (for example: Joan Smith 2012 scholarship essay)
  2. The essay should be no longer than 500 words.
  3. The essay may be included in the body of the e-mail OR attached as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF document.
  4. Entry must be received on or before October 31st, 2011.
